This is the second article in a series exploring the history of public art at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE). It explores one of the most controversial public art pieces in Cleveland's history as well as some design features of the new terminal from the 1970s.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport celebrates its centennial on July 1, 2025, and it boasts many historic firsts. The airport also has an exciting second century in store with its recently announced "CLEvolution" design for a new terminal and other landside facilities.
